Infrastructure

Campus:

The campus of the institution is in perfect harmony with the nature and society. It is situated in the residential township of Amarkantak Thermal Power Station, Chachal. It is surrounded by the deciduous “Saal” forests. The sacred river “Sone” flows graciously behind the school and a big reservoir constructed on rivulet “Suthana”, a tributary of river “Sone” provide a panoramic view to the locality. The social setup provides vivid cultural interaction between the people of various Indian states within the confined locality of this small township.

Building:

School convenes in two separate buildings – The Balmandir” for the Kindergarten section while the other one “The Main Building for running the Primary, Middle, Secondary and Senior Secondary section. The main building also houses the administrative establishments of the school. The classrooms are constructed to accommodate the appropriate number of students, suitable for individual attention by the teachers. They are full of excellent furniture with black board, electrical fixtures, fluorescent lights and fans. The rooms are well ventilated and lighted.

 

Amenities:

Interaction. There are Aqua-guard water supply system to facilitate regular supply of germ free UV treated ozonised water. Also there are many ceramic water filters for the same. There is TAL (Technology Aided Learning) laboratory using Audio-Visual equipments like LCD Projector, Slide Projectors, Transcope, Web Camera and Computers for quality education. The laboratories are well equipped with all the latest equipments and chemicals needed to perform the practical studies prescribed in the syllabus.

 

Library:

A well stocked library is available to satiate the various types of literary appetites of students. Books on science and technology, art, craft, moral education, culture and heritage, guides and reference books for competitive examinations, books for general knowledge, newspapers and journals for current affairs are the regular feature of the Library.

 

Computers:

The computer laboratory is well equipped with latest computers connected with LAN to provide uniform education opportunity to all the students. The students are taught C, C++, VB.net and other contemporary software to make them adept in computers.

Students of the primary section are taught basics of computers, Windows operating system, LOGO and Turtle. The Examination Department and Office are fully computerized to suit the needs of the students.

 

Sports:

School has good sporting atmosphere for all round development of the students. There is a separate period assigned for sports in the timetable. There are all the facilities for outdoor sports like Volleyball, Cricket and Football. For indoor games facility for Table Tennis and Badminton is available. For physical training and fitness a state of the art Jogging Machine is available. Annual sports are held to hone the abilities of the students.

 

Extra Curricular Activities:

Students are well exposed to various types of cultural activities. Month end cultural competitions are organized every month and at the end of the session there is annual function. Students give extravagant display of instrumental music, vocal music, folk dances, mono acting, fast dances, mimicry, quiz competitions, debate, fine arts, paintings, clay works, craft etc. during the competitions.

 

Magazine:

School publishes a magazine christened “Endeavour” every year. This magazine reflects the literary talents of the students. Students of the school, who proudly call them as “RCiets” use this magazine as the platform to speak to the world. No doubt this magazine has reached the metropolis of this country as our alumni are scattered all round. The school uses the magazine to reach out to one and all for giving its achievements a wider perspective. The magazine has been marching ahead with the issues “Endeavour”, “Endeavour. Towards Perfection”, “Endeavour – The Footprint” and “Endeavour The Aura”. The magazine has been blessed by encouraging and appreciating messages from Governor of the State Shri Balram Jakhad, Ex-Chief Minister of State Shri Babu Lal Gour, Chief Minister of State Shri Shiv Raj Singh Chauhan, Chairman Of MPPGCLtd and Principal Secretary of State Shri Rakesh Sahni, Member of Parliament Shri Dalpat Singh Paraste, District Incharge Minister of State Smt. Meena Singh, Member of Legislative Assembly Shri Ramlal Routel, President of Zila Panchayat Shri Nagendra Nath Singh, Ex-District Collector Shri Manish Rastogi, Ex- District Collector, Shri D.K.Tiwari, Ex- District Superintendent of Police Shri G. Janardan, Ex- District Superintendent of Police Shri J.P.Ahirwar and Ex- District Superintendent of Police Shri R.S. Uikey.

 

Elective Subjects:

School Offers Science Stream only for Class XI & Class XII English, Physics and Chemistry are compulsory subjects. Student choose two elective subjects apart from three compulsory subjects. The elective subjects offered are Maths, Biology, Hindi,

Computer Science and Physical Education. Students choose two of these five subjects.
